FIFA Women’s World Cup

First off, head out to one of Ottawa’s many fabulous pubs and restaurants to watch Team Canada face off against China on Saturday evening. Then, Ottawa hosts Group B of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday at Lansdowne Park. Norway plays Thailand at 1pm, and Germany faces off against Côte D’Ivoire at 4pm. There are still tickets available, so come watch this once in a lifetime event! You can also purchase tickets on Stubhub. If you don’t have tickets, you can still come out and party. Let’s play kind host to visiting fans and teams!

Doors Open Ottawa

If you’re interested in the architectural and cultural history of Ottawa, there’s no time like this Saturday and Sunday to investigate during Doors Open Ottawa. More than 120 buildings in Ottawa will open their doors to the public for free admission so people can discover that the inside of Ottawa’s buildings are as unique and historic as the outside monuments and landmarks. Buildings all across the Ottawa region from Carp to Cumberland are open to explore. Embassies and churches, schools and power stations, theatres and barns, museums and studios…there truly is something for everyone.

 Ottawa Veg Fest

Come to the RA Centre this weekend for the latest iteration of Ottawa Veg Fest. Admission is by donation, in support of the Ottawa Food Bank’s Community Harvest Program and the National Capital Vegetarian Association. More than 100 vendors will have healthy products on display, along with cooking demonstrations and several compelling local speakers. How about signing up for the 31 Day Vegan Challenge? Parking is free and the location is convenient for biking and transit, so come out and support a worthy cause.

We wish everyone a warm and sunny weekend in Ottawa!
