It’s expected to be a rainy day on Saturday and toasty on Sunday, but that won’t keep us down, will it? Here are some of the awesome events happening all around our fair city of Ottawa this weekend, so get out and enjoy:
Ottawa REDBLACKS versus Calgary Stampeders
The Ottawa REDBLACKS are on a two-game losing streak following back-to-back losses to the Edmonton Eskimos, so their record on the season currently stands at 2-2. It won’t be an easy task, considering the Stampeders are the defining Grey Cup Champions, and they’ve already racked up three wins on the young season. Get your tickets to cheer on the hometown team, or head to one of the many fantastic pubs and restaurants around the city to take in the game with great food, great drinks, and great company. Let’s get back in the win column!

The theme on Sunday is “Fury Fanatics Match,” and kids with a Fury lanyard can enter to win a contest for a photo shoot at the match. Ottawa Fury currently sit in first place in the fall season, with three wins and a draw through four games. Carolina is not far behind, with two wins, a draw, and a loss. However in the combined spring and fall standings Ottawa is tied with Carolina in total points, so this is a huge matchup. Tickets are still available for the clash on Sunday afternoon at TD Place, so don’t miss it.
