Ottawa Native’s Awe-Inspiring Artistic Collaborations with 2-Year Old Daughter

Ruth Oosterman, an Ottawa native who currently resides in Toronto, is attracting international attention for her creative and touching artistic collaborations with her two-year old daughter Eve. In turning crayon doodles by her budding artist daughter into stunning watercolour paintings, Oosterman bridges the connection between mother and child and serves as an inspiring reminder of the inner child within all of us.

The collaborations have gained considerable attention, with Buzzfeed staff writer Rachel Zarrell interviewing the Canadian artist, Good Morning America Online offering a gallery of the transformed artwork, and  USA Today featuring a video the duo. Time-lapsed videos of the collaborations are available on Oosterman’s Youtube channel.

Oosterman is offering prints of the collaborations to interested buyers through Etsy, with the proceeds going toward Eve’s education. Etsy is also the place to find Oosterman’s individual artistic endeavours, sold through the Ruth O. Studio. Keep updated through her personal website and blog.
