Bell Let’s Talk Day

Bell Let’s Talk Day

Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day in support of mental health awareness. Bell will donate 5¢ to mental health initiatives every time you tweet using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk, share the Facebook image, or Bell customers text and make a long distance call. Join the conversation about mental illness and help support mental health initiatives.

The Let’s Talk mental health initiative is founded upon four pillars:

  • Anti-Stigma: Unfortunately, mental illness still has a stigma attached to it which can make it difficult to discuss or cope with the condition. Help change this by promoting awareness and reducing stigma.
  • Care & Access: Two-thirds of Canadians who require mental health treatment are unable to receive it. Help support organizations, community agencies, hospitals, and schools which are committed to giving Canadians care and access to mental health services and treatment.
  • Workplace Health: Did you know that the leading cause of workplace disability is mental health? Support corporate engagement and adopting of the Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.
  • Research: The key to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from mental health issues and develop treatments and cures lies in research. Help support research and to transform the mental health and well-being of Canadians.
